Description |
Deltaville boatbuilder Grover Lee Owens completed the 42' wooden boat "Traveler" in February, 1992 for waterman John Orme of Mayo, Maryland. Photos and details are included in the article "Long wait for new boat pays off," National Fisherman, December, 1992, pages 57-59. Orme planned to use the boat for crabbing. The story "Virginia Builder Still Turning Out Wooden Work Boats" also highlighted the quality of Owen's boats in a National Fisherman article in May, 1981, pages 78-79. |
