Black-and white images from "Virginia waterman gets boat to last a lifetime," a story with photos by Larry Chowning, Field Editor of National Fisherman Magazine. "When crabber Craig Hunt of Poquoson, Va., decided to give up his traditionally built, wooden, 40' Chesapeake Bay deadrise boat and replace it with a larger vessel, he did something unusual for a Virginia fisherman — he had it built strip-planked and sheathed in fiberglass, and he built strip-planked and sheathed in fiberglass, and he went to a North Carolina yard to have the work done." The story was published in the April, 1992 issue. |
