Close-up of cotten line. Photos were taken by Larry Chowning for his article "Working a trotline on the Chesapeake" published in National Fisherman Magazine, March, 1988, pgs. 37-40. Larry accompanied trotliner Bobby Tucker Lee of Kent Narrows, MD, for a day of crabbing just northwest of Kent Island near Love Point. Bobby "Tucker" Lee was also the focus of "Trotlining for Chesapeake Blue Crabs," Chapter 21 of the 1990 book Harvesting the Chesapeake, Tools & Traditions, by Larry S. Chowning, pages 196-207. |
